Privacy Policy

('http://www.hpk.kr', hereinafter referred to as the 'HT Avot') has established the following Privacy Policy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act to protect users' personal information and rights and to smoothly handle user complaints related to personal information.

When the HT Avot revises this Privacy Policy, the Company will notify users through the website notice page or individual notice.

○ This Policy shall be effective as of April 1, 2020.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information The HT Avot ('http://www.hpk.kr') processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information processed shall not be used for purposes other than those stated below, and prior consent will be obtained if the purpose of use is changed.

Personal information related to online inquiries is retained and used for the above purpose from the date of consent to collection and use.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

② The HT Avot ('http://www.hpk.kr') provides personal information to third parties as follows.

5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

① The HT Avot outsources personal information processing tasks as follows for smooth handling of personal information-related services.

② When entering into an outsourcing agreement, the HT Avot ('http://www.hpk.kr') specifies matters concerning prohibition of personal information processing for purposes other than the outsourced task, technical and managerial protection measures, restriction on re-outsourcing, management and supervision of the consignee, and liability for damages in documents such as contracts in accordance with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act, and supervises whether the consignee processes personal information safely.

③ If the details of outsourced tasks or the consignee change, the Company will disclose such changes through this Privacy Policy without delay.

6. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Legal Representatives, and Methods of Exercising Rights Users, as data subjects, may exercise the following rights.

① Data subjects may exercise their rights to request access to, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of personal information at any time with HT Avot Co., Ltd.

② The rights under Paragraph 1 may be exercised with HT Avot Co., Ltd. in writing, by email, fax, etc. in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and HT Avot Co., Ltd. will take action without delay.

③ The rights under Paragraph 1 may be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized agent. In such cases, a power of attorney in accordance with Form No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act must be submitted.

④ Requests for access to personal information and suspension of processing may be restricted under Article 35(5) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.

⑤ If other laws specify that certain personal information must be collected, the data subject may not request deletion of such information.

⑥ HT Avot Co., Ltd. verifies whether the person making a request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing is the data subject or a legitimate representative.

7. Personal Information Items Processed

① The HT Avot ('http://www.hpk.kr') processes the following personal information items.

8. Destruction of Personal Information The HT Avot, in principle, destroys personal information without delay when the purpose of processing personal information has been achieved. The procedures, deadlines, and methods of destruction are as follows.
  • Destruction procedure

    Information entered by users is transferred to a separate database after the purpose has been achieved, or to separate documents in the case of paper records, and is stored for a certain period or destroyed immediately in accordance with internal policies and related laws. Personal information transferred to a database shall not be used for any other purpose unless required by law.

  • Destruction deadline

    When the retention period of a user's personal information has expired, the information shall be destroyed within 5 days from the end date of the retention period. When personal information becomes unnecessary due to achievement of the processing purpose, termination of the relevant service, closure of business, etc., the information shall be destroyed within 5 days from the date on which processing of the personal information is deemed unnecessary.

9. Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

HT Avot Co., Ltd. does not use cookies that store and frequently retrieve usage information of data subjects.

② Data subjects may contact the Personal Information Protection Officer or the department in charge regarding any privacy-related inquiries, complaints, or remedies arising from use of the services or business of HT Avot Co., Ltd. ('http://www.hpk.kr', hereinafter referred to as the 'HT Avot'). HT Avot Co., Ltd. will respond to and process inquiries from data subjects without delay.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

① This Privacy Policy shall apply from the effective date. If any addition, deletion, or correction is made due to changes in laws or policies, the Company will notify users through the notice page at least 7 days before the changes take effect.

12. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information The HT Avot takes the following technical, managerial, and physical measures necessary to ensure security in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • 1. Regular internal audits

    Internal audits are conducted regularly, once per quarter, to ensure the security of personal information handling.

  • 2. Minimization and training of employees handling personal information

    Employees who handle personal information are designated and limited to persons in charge, and measures are implemented to minimize and manage access to personal information.

  • 3. Encryption of personal information

    Users' passwords are encrypted, stored, and managed so that only the users can know them. Separate security functions, such as encryption of important data files and transmitted data or file lock functions, are used.

  • 4. Use of locking devices for document security

    Documents and auxiliary storage media containing personal information are stored in secure locations equipped with locking devices.
